About Spinlock USA:

Spinlock USA is a small marketing office located in Newport, RI that manages all the corporate functions for the Spinlock brand in the Western Hemisphere. Spinlock produces a range of hardware and soft goods sold to the leisure and commercial marine markets as well as many industrial applications. Our customers range from mega yachts and race boat programs to the largest big box store chains. We export throughout the Caribbean and South America from our location here in Rhode Island. Spinlock USA was incorporated in 2011 and UK parent company in 1968. Spinlock designs and manufactures its own products in the UK.


We are looking for an organised person who enjoys learning and is happy to converse with colleagues both here and in UK and customers and suppliers over the phone, video call, email and face to face. Full training will be given. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills and join a friendly team. We have strong systems and procedures in place for all tasks.

Job purpose:
To support the day to day running of the Spinlock USA office.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

1. Daily office tasks – mail, bank, etc as needed

2. Maintain Office Environment

3. Keep track of office and warehouse inventory and daily shipping needs

4. First point of contact with telephone

5. All Sales order processing

6. AP and AR functions

7. Liaise with UK office regarding stock, sales orders and bookkeeping

8. Maintain High Level of Spinlock Service including same day turnaround on inquiries

9. Share customer information with wider Team, focusing on additional sales opportunities

Full training and support will be given.

Minimum Requirements of the Applicant:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent, College Degree preferred
2. Extreme attention to detail with computer processing and accounting
3. Ability to multitask in a fairly high paced environment and prioritize tasks as needed
4. Proficiency with Microsoft suit of products including Outlook, Excel, Teams and all basic computer functions
5. Sailing experience beneficial but not required
6. Experience with a high level EPR systems and 3rd party EDI programs a plus
7. Bi/Multi-Lingual preferred (Spanish and/or Portuguese)

Additional Expectations:
A qualified candidate will be expected to learn about Spinlock products including technical information and practical applications. Some travel and work over weekends to support shows and training may be required, international potentially (a maximum of 15 days per year once fully trained, with plenty of notice given).

Location – Spinlock’s Head Office and Production facility is based in Cowes, the home of yachting. Our head office is in an enviable position overlooking the Solent and two minutes from the town. The Production site sits in a quiet area with excellent facilities with easy access to a food store. The Island is renowned for its watersports, beaches, countryside and festivals. There are great reliable regular links to the Mainland and we are 2 hours from London.

Entertainment – At Spinlock we enjoy getting together for social events such as BBQ’s in the Summer. We hold a Christmas Party every December for all employees and their partners and supply food, drinks and entertainment. The team like to take part in social sporting events.
