Reduce Carbon Emissions

Company vehicle switched to low emission 99 g/km/ 74 mpg. Participation in Cycle to Work scheme. Fewer, higher-efficiency IT System servers. Office basement heat losses reduced by 70% through cladding of un-insulated exterior walls and new high-efficiency glazing. 100% low energy lighting at both sites.

Condensing boiler installed at office site. Showroom window and main entrance lighting used during working hours only

Source all gas & electricity from renewable sources. Replace warm air heating with high-efficiency system at manufacturing site.

Increase Recycled/Recyclable materials Fully recyclable retail product packaging. Change to recycled Fibre & foam packaging for High Load product range and recycled fibre used for transit packing. All paper waste and most incoming fibre cartons recycled

98% of all correspondence & documentation switched to email & online

Earl Mount Batten Hospice -Walk the Wight is an annual charity event in aid of the Earl Mountbatten Hospice on the Isle of Wight. Employees are encouraged to enter and enjoy training as a team. Spinlock looks to double any sponsorship achieved by employees. www.iwhospice.org

Barely Born - The Island's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) cares for all babies that are born too early (premature) and babies that are unwell after they are born. Support is given by donating all our stamped envelopes. www.barelyborn.co.uk
 
Ellen MacArthur Trust - The Ellen MacArthur Trust takes young people aged between 8-18 sailing to help them regain their confidence, on their way to recovery from cancer, leukemia and other serious illness. Spinlock donate monthly to this cause. www.ellenmacarthurtrust.org
